SHINE Mental Health First Aid in Medicine 2022
In the 2021-2022 year, SHINE had the privilege to host an initiative called Mental Health First Aid in Medicine through the Pillars Sponsorship Program. Our goal was to offer medical students a safe environment for conversations about mental health and wellness, and build their toolbox on ways to cope with the challenges of a medical career. Through our speaker series and workshops, we hope this initiative benefitted and better equipped our trainees to address mental health and wellness in themselves, their peers, and in the community! Thank you to everyone who participated this year!
We also want to express our gratitude to our generous sponsors, TD Insurance and Manulife, without whom this initiative would not have been possible!
