Student Affairs Liaison Team (SALT) presents the 2015 Resilience Week! Resilience week is a week-long initiative that helps students focus on the overall health and wellness of medical students through events and student engagement. Understanding that students face ongoing challenges in a very demanding program, we would like to help you maintain your health and wellness and to build resilience! Mindfulness Tuesday
When: Tues, February 24th 12pm;

Description: Come join us for a lunchtime mindfulness session! Mindfulness is the practice of being aware of the present and can be an important part of self-care and personal wellbeing. In this session, we will discuss some basic principles of mindfulness, as well as practice mindfulness in a small group setting.
Physician Health and Illness Panel
When: Wed, February 25th 5-6pm
Where: MSB 3154/HSC 140
Description: In this panel session, we have invited physicians to discuss their personal experiences with physical or mental health challenges or illnesses, specifically from their perspective as healthcare providers. They will also share strategies or resources they have to cope with or overcome their challenges. Pizza will be provided!
Relationships in Medicine
When: Thurs, February 26th 5-6pm
Where: MSB 3154/HSC 140
Description: As we navigate through our demanding and sometimes stressful medical training, maintaining happy and secure personal relationships may get challenging. Come attend this unique Q & A panel addressing this key life balance from individuals who have "been there, done that...and still figuring out things as they go...!" Featured on this panel: a physician + non-physician couple, busy physician couple, 4th year new parent and a member from the LGBTQ community. Complimentary pizza provided :)
Coffee Break
When: Thurs and Fri, February 26th and 27th 8:45am
Where: In your classroom
Description: Free coffee, tea and some light breakfast (muffins, cookies, etc.) will be served before class and will be available all morning, while supplies last!
De-Stress Button-Making
When: Fri, February 27th 12:00-1:00pm
Where: MSB2172
Description: Come for a chance to relax with friends and make a craft! A facilitator from Hart House Get Crafty! will be joining with all the materials you'll need to make your own personalized pin-back buttons. We'll have magazines and images, but feel free to bring your own to make your customized button.The session and materials are completely free.
